The Kamehameha Butterfly

 

Recently I had an opportunity to hike into Kahana Valley with other butterfly enthusiasts.  We were able see the Kamehameha butterfly sipping Koa tree sap depicted (left photo).  The photo on the right is what the topside of butterfly looks like.
